A Gift of Nature #121

The artist’s note for this work poses a question about humanity’s relationship with the environment, asking if nature can truly be considered a gift. The piece is a singular generative script from the series A Gift of Nature, minted in December 2022. This series follows The Spectrum of Nature, continuing a line of inquiry into the perceived boundary between the natural and the artificial. The program runs using WebGL and is initially rendered as a 1000 by 1000 pixel composition, with functionality included by the artist to produce higher resolution outputs for static presentation.
