ashes 11a - ego

This work, titled `ashes 11a ego`, originated as a drawing made with ash and graphite on paper. Following its completion, the physical object was intentionally burnt. This action is central to the work’s series, which involves a cumulative and distributed process. An artist creates a piece incorporating ashes, burns it, and then sends the resulting material to another artist to begin the cycle anew. The system is conceived to repeat across time and distance. The documentation of this iteration, produced in 2025, exists as an edition of seventy seven.
