GOYA®

Created with the artist Pamilo Ceirone, this animated work adapts Gengoya’s Bwople character into a new persona. The accompanying note, written in Spanish, describes the subject as Goya, a tango dancer who moves from bar to bar seeking philosophical conversation. This piece is part of the Gengoya Collabs series, in which guest artists reinterpret the Bwople figure according to their own narrative and aesthetic concerns. The resulting composition superimposes Ceirone's character design onto Gengoya's template. This animated GIF was made in June 2023 as an edition of sixteen.
