Memory Lane (Mini Ver.)

Gengoya accompanies this work with the note, “Not all journeys move forward.” An animated GIF drawn by hand digitally, Memory Lane (Mini Ver.) presents the artist’s recurring character, Bwople. This simple rounded figure is a foundational element in a practice that uses serial variation to develop character design. Here, the title and the artist’s statement suggest a concept of movement that is not always forwards, enacted within the animated sequence.
