This unique image, titled Box Light Studies #83, forms part of a body of work by Zach Lieberman that investigates perception through code. Each study originates from a disciplined daily sketching routine where algorithms are written to represent qualities of light seen in the world. As the artist notes, this process creates a continuous loop, where the act of programming a visual effect in turn changes his own mode of observation.
