A theory of General Instability #161

Part of the series presented at the Proof of People event in 2023, this work models the emergence of form from near uniform conditions. The artist's software constructs a system where millions of particles interact within a force field containing minute irregularities. The resulting piece, 'A theory of General Instability #161', is a singular, randomly deterministic animation. Its visual evolution is governed by the unique hash from its minting on 13 April 2023. Hal09999 accompanies the work with a lexicon of symbols and the words ‘Particles, forces, horizon’, framing the abstraction within cosmological inquiry.
