The title of this work refers to a quadtree, a data structure used in computer graphics and spatial analysis to recursively partition a two dimensional plane. This reference aligns with loackme’s practice of building generative systems grounded in specific computational methods. The artist has previously used the quadtree structure as the basis for a series of works.
