This unique work from 2022 is part of Mark Ludgate’s series *The Spectrum of Nature*. The piece is a generative script, written in javascript, which produces compositions that evoke natural forms through purely computational processes. In an accompanying text, the artist questions the boundary between human creation and the natural world, asking if everything is ultimately made by nature's hands. The algorithm is designed to render an image in either a portrait or landscape format using the WebGL environment. Ludgate's practice draws on his professional background in animation and has appeared in online exhibitions.
