Urban Planning #111

This piece of software, issued on 5 July 2023, is a singular iteration within loackme’s Urban Planning series. The work’s algorithmic structure uses the wallet address of its first collector as a seed, permanently fixing the visual outcome at the moment of its creation. The artist notes this generative system has minimal adjustable parameters, reflecting a view on the limits of centralised design. The series conceptually engages with architectural representation, referencing a fascination with bird's eye views and scale models. The project’s framework also cites the writing of Jane Jacobs on the nature of living cities.
