The rapid creation of these sequential editions highlights the generative process at the core of the series. The title “fil de fer”, or “wire”, points to a concern with skeletal form and underlying structure, an interest that connects to the artist’s use of technical drawings as a reference point. As with other works by loackme, its medium is an application directory, signifying an interactive software system rather than a piece of fixed media.
