This generative animation was created on 13 April 2023 during a live event at ZeroSpace in New York City. The work is a unique output from a system the artist terms a quasi simulation. Titled 'A theory of General Instability #141', it is one iteration from a software programme that subjects two and a half million particles to instabilities within a digital scalar force field. The artist states that these small initial irregularities, less than one percent, determine the emergent forms. The animation is infinite, its specific behaviour seeded by the transaction hash generated at its creation.
