Starving Artist

The title of this piece, Starving Artist, points to a familiar archetype of creative life. As part of the Strawflower series, this digital collage functions as a form of self portraiture. The artist states that works in this series are assembled from records of her practice, reobserved to reflect on her identity. This work, created in December 2025, therefore uses the collage medium to consider a specific, challenging phase of an artist’s development. It is presented as a singular composition, a unique one of one edition measuring 2500 by 2500 pixels.
