This animated GIF depicts the failure of a digital scanning process. The title and the artist’s brief note, ‘Error glitch’, situate the work within a recurring theme of system malfunction. By animating the visual artifacts of a corrupted scan, the work gives form to technological decay. The subject of a failing page implicitly references the transmission of text and image, a component of the artist’s broader narrative practice.
