A dense accumulation of forms suggests an urban environment, consistent with the artist’s description of a “metropolitan nightmare”. This work is one output from the NeoPrimal series, a generative system kira0 created using the p5.js library. Completed in November 2022, the piece is not a static image but a live programme. The software permits interaction, allowing a person to control the level of zoom with the mouse for close examination of the intricate scene. The current state can also be saved as a separate file at a specified resolution, documenting a particular moment within the generative process.
