Antimatter sample observation

This animated work is described by the artist as a recording of an algorithmic quasi simulation. The title, ‘Antimatter sample observation’, frames the visual event as a study of the relationship between matter and its twin. In the accompanying note from October 2022, the artist explains that their mutual annihilation is proof that the universe could not have existed if everything were purely symmetrical. The software models this principle, producing a dynamic system where particles appear to collide and vanish in bursts of energy. The work was created in an edition of seven in December 2022.
