"Tezpole"

This animated GIF, produced in an edition of eleven, responds to a specific digital event which the artist refers to as the "tezpole incident". In the accompanying note from December 2023, the artist observes the community's humorous reaction to the event. The work is intended to pose a question about context, articulated by the artist as "Is any place a gallery if you display art in it?". To support this query, the animation explicitly references Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain". This is used to create a parallel with exhibitions where artworks can be shown for a fee.
