sketches for freedom / contrapuntos (ii)

This work is a second pre release study from the `contrapuntos` series, created with code using p5js and glsl. It was minted in October 2022 on hic et nunc as one of four works in the `sketches for freedom` initiative, which supported a human rights organisation. Like all works in the `contrapuntos` system, it derives from a generative process that models the musical concept of counterpoint through visual abstraction. This can result in layered compositions with broken forms and repeating elements. The artist’s decision to publish development studies underscores the role of iteration in his systems based practice.
