Camazoth

The title of this work refers to the subject described in the artist’s accompanying poem, a being named “Kamazoth”. The text characterises this figure as a “mighty bat, ruler of death’s domain”, who is angry, silent and has a heart made of stone. This particular piece from the Inky abyss series was recorded in a public collection on the Raster platform. In contrast to other works by the artist from this period, the note for Camazoth does not specify a corresponding physical drawing. The piece was issued in an edition of fifteen on 2 February 2024.
