Generated in 2022, Punktwelt #226 is the product of a systematic computational process. Erik Swahn, an artist who also identifies as an architect, builds each form in the series from a single rectangular cuboid. This initial block is then subjected to a series of Boolean subtractions, creating a complex geometry from simple operations. The final form is rendered in parallel projection, a drawing method used in architectural representation. According to the artist, this work continues an enquiry into colour perception and spatial illusion that began in an earlier series. The work was created on the fxhash platform.
