This unique edition from 10 June 2022 applies Mark Knol’s generative methods to the familiar format of a playing card. The artist's note confirms that `playing.cccccards #71` is a collaborative work, created with fellow artist John Karel. The piece was published on the fxhash platform and, like Knol’s other series, is the result of a program designed to produce controlled yet unpredictable outcomes. This project demonstrates the application of Knol's rule based systems to a different visual theme, moving beyond his long running `Smolskulls` series to produce a new family of algorithmically generated objects.
