SMOLSKULL-FLAG #643

In this work from 8 February 2022, Mark Knol incorporates his generative skull into the format of a flag. The artist’s note describes the piece as a “Smol flag to represent your place”, suggesting a function of identity or affiliation. While the pixel art skull connects to a history of memento mori and early computer graphics, its placement here introduces a different context. This work is a unique output from a generative system built upon the artist’s extensive `Smolskulls` project. It was produced as a single edition for the `fx(hash): Genesis` collection.
