The artist describes the resulting abstract compositions as visual records of her dreams and contemplative moments. These works are intended to function as reflections of an inner world, an idea reinforced by the series title which translates from German as thought mirror. Belle’s stated aim for the series is to pose a question about the nature of perception and what it means to truly see.
