The title itself suggests the computational origins of the image, which is a still composition extracted from one of the artist's generative animations. Teshigawara’s practice is built upon systems he designs to operate with a degree of autonomy, allowing shapes to emerge from the interaction of colours without direct authorial intervention. This PNG image, from an edition of one thousand, therefore serves as a material trace of a specific moment from that software based process.
