This work’s title, hen#1, directly references the hic et nunc platform where Kazumasa Teshigawara first presented work in 2021. Issued in November 2022 as part of an edition of one thousand, the piece is a still image derived from a generative system. Consistent with the artist’s practice, the image captures a single instant from a continuously evolving animation. The forms and colour boundaries within the composition are the result of an autonomous process, presenting a fixed record of a momentary state drawn from a potentially infinite visual stream. The artist has not provided a note.
