Deathbringer

A short piece of narrative accompanies this work, telling the story of a warrior’s final stand on a battlefield. The character’s last words, “Glory is eternal!”, are provided in the artist's note. This method of using text to define a character is a consistent element of Intersect's digital drawings. The work is an animated GIF, issued as a unique edition in March 2025. It forms part of the INTERSECT1990 collection, which features subjects from fantasy and science fiction. This piece exemplifies the artist’s use of established archetypes in their practice.
