The artist’s note for this work includes the inscription “a spark in darkness” and a reference to purgation through the “suppression ov libidinal drives”. The composition originates from a physical drawing, rendered with ballpoint gel ink on heavy 400 gram acid free paper measuring 21 by 29.7 centimetres. Shinnoak's practice involved documenting these detailed physical originals for circulation through digital systems. This piece was released in an edition of fifteen on 3 May 2024. It was presented within a collection of works by various artists titled ART MARKET on the Raster platform.
