This work is from the DOM3 series by the Swiss artists Leander Herzog and Milian Mori. It is a generative piece with audio and visual elements, executed entirely by a JavaScript program running live within a web browser. The artists’ system uses the Document Object Model as a formal medium to produce dynamic compositions of colour, form, and emergent sound. A defining feature of the DOM3 series is the final choice given to the collector between two potential states, Side A and Side B. For this particular work, #77, the selection of Side A is permanently recorded, concluding the generative process.
