This work adapts Mark Knol's recurring `Smolskull` motif to a new compositional format. The artist's note describes the piece as a 'Smol flag to represent your place', suggesting a function of identity or affiliation. Titled `SMOLSKULL FLAG #75`, it is a unique iteration produced by a generative script for the `fx(hash): Genesis` collection. The software based system creates variations on a central theme, with each output being a distinct pixel art composition. This particular example was generated on 8 February 2022. Knol’s practice consistently uses code to produce large series of related yet individual works.
