The single edition image #4 is the fourth work in the ‘BanaNo’ collection by Mr Mo Visions, created on 13 December 2024. Like the other pieces in the series, it is accompanied by the artist's note, “Which came first: the banana or the tape?”. This question positions the piece as a graphic response to Maurizio Cattelan’s sculpture Comedian. The series title, ‘BanaNo’, simultaneously references this art historical subject and an internet based cryptocurrency that uses the banana as its central motif. The piece demonstrates the artist’s established method of appropriating recognizable forms to examine concepts of originality and value.
