Titled #2, this piece continues the artist's ‘BanaNo’ series. The work's conceptual grounding is found in the artist's note, “Which came first: the banana or the tape?”, a direct reference to a 2019 work by Maurizio Cattelan. Mr Mo Visions' practice often involves the translation of complex ideas into a minimal visual vocabulary. In this series, the title ‘BanaNo’ connects the work to the specific visual and linguistic codes of the Banano cryptocurrency project. The single edition PNG, created on 13 December 2024, operates as both a response to contemporary art and an engagement with internet meme economies.
