A Snap in Time #8

This work from the 2025 series A Snap in Time presents forms generated by a custom system. The artist, Kazumasa Teshigawara, developed a process similar to reaction diffusion models, which allows shapes to emerge autonomously where colours conflict. He describes these emergent structures as building transparent layers of time. The work is one of twelve unique pieces in the series, each requiring interaction and incorporating an audio element to achieve completion. Teshigawara's note for the project refers to a rhythm that marks time, pointing to the temporal and participatory nature of the piece.
