Tekton : Optima #237

Tekton: Optima #237 is an iteration from a generative system of 256 architectural studies. The series evolved from a smaller collection of works which the artist, Kwame Bruce Busia, created to test the principles of coded construction. Drawing from his background in architecture, Busia developed a set of rules and modules based on experiments with simple blocks. Unlike its predecessor which used arbitrary arrangements, the algorithm for this series allows each component to bend its own rules. This process produces singular compositions built from clean lines, creating structures that are systematically yet unpredictably formed.
