Everything #196 is an iteration from a generative series that examines what the artist terms the underlying sameness of all things. The note for the work proposes that concepts such as absence and form, or the artificial and the real, are deeply connected. Through the observation of perpetual motion, the algorithmic system suggests that what appears wildly natural can also be precisely mathematical. As part of the artist's wider practice of using code to build systems, this unique piece was generated in March 2023 to balance order and unpredictability.
