DOM2 #2463 is a unique composition from 2024, captured from a real time generative system. The work belongs to the DOM2 series, a collaboration between Leander Herzog and musician Milian Mori that pairs generative visuals with generative audio. Herzog constructs the animations from fundamental HTML elements, using the structure of the web browser itself as his medium. This particular arrangement of forms is one of an infinite number of possibilities produced by the system’s code. The artist’s process involves curating random values to achieve specific compositional effects relating to rhythm and repetition.
