DOM2 #2460

This audio visual animation is an iteration from the DOM2 series, made by Leander Herzog in collaboration with Milian Mori in 2024. The work uses the web browser's own architecture as its medium. An infinite document composed of fundamental HTML elements is animated in real time. Herzog's code uses the browser's layout engine to arrange these elements, while Mori's generative audio programmatically influences the visual rhythm and repetition. The title DOM2 points directly to the Document Object Model, making the infrastructure of contemporary interfaces a subject of aesthetic consideration rather than a neutral container.
