As part of the Miniscapes series, this unique edition from May 2022 demonstrates a principle of expressive economy. The artist note confirms the project’s intention to convey as much as possible with as little as possible. This method, a collaboration with illustrator Rick Crane, aligns with Poole's established practice of building compositions from elemental parts. The resulting image operates between landscape representation and pure geometry. It creates a dynamic spatial relationship with minimal forms, a quality common to Poole's wider body of work and consistent with early twentieth century abstraction.
