Acequia #58

This unique composition from 2022 is an output of the Acequia series, a project by Rich Poole and Rick Crane. The series title, a word for water carrier, signals the project’s conceptual origin in the irrigation networks of semi arid regions. Poole’s code generates each work based on parameters set by a town in southern Spain. This input defines the construction rules and the appearance of the cubic shapes used to build the image. Acequia #58 demonstrates a particular combination of these generative elements, realised through a colour palette that differentiates between day and night.
