The Miniscapes series merges Rich Poole’s engineering based approach to code with the illustrative assets of Rick Crane. This particular work, produced as a single edition in May 2022, is one outcome from their generative system. According to the artists, the project employs fundamental geometric forms to construct a range of minimalist landscapes. While the title suggests a scene, the composition maintains a resolutely abstract character. The piece is therefore consistent with Poole's documented interest in the boundary between representation and the self contained logic of geometric systems.
