Romeo & Juliet ~ Queen Mab

This video from 2025 presents Laurence Fuller’s adaptation of a classical text. The work is a performance of Mercutio's 'Queen Mab speech' from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, created in an edition of forty four. According to the artist’s note, the piece was produced for the Rust Shakespeare Collection. The subject matter, the fairy Queen Mab who delivers dreams to sleepers, connects the work to its parent series, Elysium Rising. This series is based on a narrative in which dreams have the power to reshape reality itself, a theme directly addressed in the chosen Shakespearean monologue.
