Henge #219

Created on 18 November 2022, this piece belongs to the Henge series, which investigates the construction of ancient cromlechs. The project uses algorithms to reimagine these stone circles, which the artist’s note describes as monolithic in their materiality. Aranda\Lasch model the elemental techniques of megalithic building, such as balancing and stacking immense chiseled rocks. The series treats these ancient constructions as precedents for creating meaningful space through geometry and order. Each work is generated as a distinct arrangement, an algorithmic possibility derived from these foundational architectural principles.
