Wanderer #347

This unique software based work was generated by David Brice Allen in November 2022 as part of his Wanderer series. The underlying system uses hexagonal Truchet tiles, which are simple shapes marked with patterns that create complex emergent visual structures when tiled. The artist describes the outcome as “meandering paths of colour”. As with all works in the series, it is an interactive piece that allows the user to render the image at different resolutions. The artist publicly committed the primary proceeds from the Wanderer project to the Processing Foundation.
