Wanderer #188

Minted in November 2022, this work is an output from David Brice Allen’s Wanderer series. The artist developed a specific algorithm that uses hexagonal Truchet tiles to generate what he terms “meandering paths of colour”. This piece is not a static image but a software based system, allowing the user to adjust its resolution and save a new file. This demonstrates the generative principles at the core of the work. As stated in the accompanying note, all primary proceeds from the series were directed to the Processing Foundation, indicating an alignment with its open source ethos.
