This work from the `White Mountain Winter` series was created on 24 December 2022. The artist describes the generative process as a collaboration with the machine, intended to reconstruct scenes from memory. For this series, drey provides what they term a seed of a dream based on personal history. The resulting images draw upon the artist's experience of growing up in a mountain valley. The work seeks to convey the dual sensations of winter in that place, balancing a feeling of cold bleakness with a sense of calm and solace, protected by the surrounding mountains.
