Komšije #68

A unique edition from December 2023, this piece is an output from the ‘Komšije’ algorithm. The title means neighbours in Serbian, and the artist's notes state the work is inspired by New Belgrade’s brutalist architecture. The generative system intertwines these architectural influences with the mathematical principle of the Golden Ratio. Busia characterises the buildings that inform the series as solid and well designed structures that function as vertical ecosystems. This work presents one permutation from a system designed to represent the communal yet distinct spaces within these imposing concrete forms.
