Vents #582

Created on 28 December 2022, this work is a unique output from Daniel Catt's generative series titled `Vents`. The project was published on the fx(hash) platform, and its colour system is based on palettes from the “Studio Yorktown Color Town Hall”, a library initiated by another artist. Catt’s program for `Vents` generates compositions of structure and form, which he describes using terms such as gradients and “innies and outies”. As with much of his practice, the piece considers its potential physical form. The artist includes instructions for rendering a high resolution file for an archival print measuring approximately 69.3 centimetres square.
