The title of this work, Pensado a mano #642, translates to “thought by hand” and refers directly to its method of creation. The system prompts the collector to draw on the canvas, using these marks as the primary seed to generate a singular artwork. This method is the only customisable parameter within the algorithm. The artist describes the movement from a manual gesture to a digital outcome as a new kind of mixed media. This edition of one from May 2023 culminates an “artificially extended process, from hand to screen, from screen to paper”.
