SMOLSKULLs × Monster Gaze #423

This unique generative work from December 2023 is documented by the artists as a collaboration between Jordi Gandul and Mark Knol. The piece belongs to the SMOLSKULLs × Monster Gaze project, which applies an algorithmic process to Gandul’s established visual style. His work draws from aesthetic sources including graffiti and Japanese popular culture, influences which are coded into the generative system. The result is a composition built from bold outlines and flat areas of colour, yet subject to the procedural logic of the collaboration. Part of the fx(params) collection, it extends Gandul’s practice into an automated context.
