HANGOVER

An animated composition from December 2022, this work gives form to a narrative note by the artist. The text for HANGOVER describes a dystopian city built only for transgression, a setting of vice and exploitation. Gandul uses his distinct method of vector illustration, constructing the scene with clean geometric forms, bold outlines, and flat planes of colour. The GIF format adds a fluid, rhythmic motion to the detailed image. This work was produced as an edition of 22 on the hic et nunc platform, where Gandul began releasing his animations and illustrations in the previous year.
