Landscape with Carbon Capture #4030

Created in 2022, this work is from the series Landscape with Carbon Capture. In his notes for the project, Michaël Zancan expresses a tempered view of technology’s role in addressing environmental crises. While he states his disbelief in technology alone saving humanity, he affirms his hope in human conscience and the unifying potential of art. This particular iteration, produced by a generative program, serves as an example of his attempt to “fight with what I’ve got”. It is one of many variations from a system that presents art as a medium capable of affecting an audience.
