Air_Line - The Orange Incident

This work’s title relates to the context of air travel, a setting which is central to the artist’s accompanying note. Zancan recounts a personal story, ‘The Orange Incident’, concerning a spillage of vibrant, high quality ink at an airport security checkpoint in New York. Part of the Tree_Line collection, the image was generated by a program written by the artist. The series uses the tree as a metaphor for branching systems, a concept that here extends to the networks of international travel. This work was produced in an edition of one hundred in June 2025.
